I want to first thank you for electing me as your Club President. I am so very excited about the upcoming year! In July 2018, I joined the Blakeslee Rotary Club with limited knowledge of what being a Rotarian meant.
Locally, our club does much for the community, helping local organizations in need, as well as working with the schools and students. I am very proud to be part of our group. Everyone is so willing to help the community when asked, but more often someone simply sees a need.
As we begin the new Rotary Year, we have so much to look forward to that will be exciting and challenging.
Given that we are functioning during a pandemic we are unsure about a number of things but never unsure about the resilience and dedication of our Rotarian pledge of service above self.
In closing may I say I am truly humbled and honored to serve as your president this year and look forward to working with the board and each member as we all move forward and Open Opportunities.

Through the years we have, as Rotarians accomplished goals to better the community and helped develop further education and leadership of our young students in the Pocono Mountain West School District.
With the help of the community and its businesses we have done exactly what we set out to do.
The Blakeslee Rotary:
Every year we hold multiple fund raising events to help fund all of the things we do for the community. It is your participation that makes it all possible. Please see our events page for upcoming events.
- Donates each year to the food pantry, Little League, Salvation Army And Geisinger Children's Hospital.
- Awards (2) 1500.00 Scholarships each year to High School Graduates
- Awards (2) 6 grade students a 50.00 terMuelen award for leadership
- Gives dictionary's to every 3rd grade student at Tobyhanna Elementary Center
- Sponsored a Student to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth & Leadership Award) Conference
- Held Road Cleanup (PennDot)
- Helps in disasters such as Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Katrina and the Japan Tsunami.
